CHP officers can be called to some interesting scenes while on duty, but in the Bay Area Tuesday, officers received a very different type of call.
CHP officers received reports of a sea lion in distress on northbound Highway 101 in South San Francisco around 8:30 a.m.
“I’ve had a different couple animals here and there but this is definitely a first,” a CHP officer told NBC Bay Area.
The CHP says the sea lion was healthy and uninjured.
It was taken to Peninsula SPCA for treatment.
