Santa Maria police responded to a possible robbery Friday evening.
Police received the first report around 6:45 p.m. Friday in the area of Pine Street and Morrison Avenue, near Buena Vista Park.
Police believe a single person was robbed, however, it is unclear what was taken.
Officers say the victim suffered a cut to the hand.
No information was immediately available on the number of people involved in the robbery, but police say there is no danger to the public.
A CHP helicopter that was already in the area assisted with the investigation.
Police say traffic was not impacted.
