Hundreds attend 26th annual Avila Beach Blues Festival

Posted

Concertgoers gathered to celebrate blues music in Avila Beach Sunday.

The 26th annual Avila Beach Blues Festival featured top names in entertainment with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop.

Performers included Little Feat, now on their 50th anniversary Tour, as well as Eric Burdon and The Animals, and Charlie Musselwhite whose last visit to the festival was in 1997.

“We are at the Avila Beach Blues festival for Memorial Day Weekend listening to some killer blues. It’s been raining, it’s been showering, it’s been sprinkling, it’s been sunny, but we’re just having a great time here. It’s fun,” said Laurie Blundell, a concertgoer.

A portion of the ticket proceeds benefits the Rossi Foundation, a non-profit that supports the arts.
