Residents in the City of Lompoc should prepare for planned power outages in the area in the coming months.
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is implementing the City Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) program to protect communities from possible wildfires.
If extreme fire danger conditions threaten a portion of the electrical system, high-risk transmission lines may be turned off, resulting in power outages to the City of Lompoc.
Power outages may last longer than 48 hours. In the event of a PSPS, the city will provide updates as they are received from PG&E.
