With a shelter-at-home order now in effect in San Luis Obispo County, one local city has also prohibited the use of its playgrounds.
Signs are up at the popular children's gathering spots in San Luis Obispo in an effort to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
The playground closures will last until further notice.
In the meantime, the City encourages people to enjoy the park areas and open spaces while still using proper social distancing.
Hiking and surfing are other activities OK'd by county officials under the shelter-at-home-order.
The City of Goleta has also restricted the use of play structures and exercise equipment in City parks, beaches and open spaces.
