Although the in-person event was canceled, the No-Show SLO Grilled Cheese Festival carried on virtually.

The grilled cheese festival, hosted by Restorative Partners, took place at Laguna Lake last year, but since the pandemic, festival organizers had to shift gears and stream it virtually. Competitors recorded themselves making their best grilled cheese, and community members could vote for their friends by donating to Restorative Partners. The executive director of the non-profit says she and her team have had to find ways to spread their mission online.

“Our mission really gets to the heart of who we are, whether you're near or far. Transforming lives impacted by crime through healing services and relationships can be done right here, right now."

The non-profit's goal is to raise $125,000 by the end of June. All donations will go toward supporting community members affected by crime.
