Santa Barbara Co. reports 19 new cases of COVID-19

Santa Barbara County added 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the county's total to 8,803 confirmed cases as of September 17.

Twenty-eight people are hospitalized, including seven patients who are in the ICU.

Health officials say 8,522 people have recovered.

Santa Barbara County has had 109 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

  • Lompoc - 785
  • Guadalupe and North County unincorporated areas (Sisquoc, Casmalia, Garey, Cuyama, New Cuyama) - 385
  • Orcutt - 305
  • Goleta - 245
  • Isla Vista - 207
  • Unincorporated Goleta Valley and Gaviota - 192
  • Carpinteria and South County unincorporated areas (Montecito, Summerland) - 187
  • Santa Ynez Valley (Solvang, Buellton, Santa Ynez, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Ballard) - 142

The location of an additional 370 cases is listed as "pending."

Three free coronavirus testing sites are available to the community in Santa Maria, Buellton, and Goleta.
