SLO County adds 36 new COVID-19 cases

San Luis Obispo County added 36 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the county's total to 3,685 confirmed cases as of October 2.

Seven people are hospitalized, including one patient who is in the ICU.

Another 197 people are recovering at home and 3,450 have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County has had 31 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The location of three additional cases is under investigation, and another six are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.

COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo.

Beginning October 5, testing will be available Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at the Paso Robles Event Center. Beginning October 6, tests will be available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the Morro Bay Veterans Memorial Building.
