Dignity Health hospitals in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties are partnering with Vitalant to invite community members to donate blood amid the COVID-19 pandemic due to a blood shortage.
According to a press release sent to KSBY, the blood drives are scheduled on the following dates:
- 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday at the Marian Regional Medical Center (1400 E Church St, Santa Maria, CA 93454)
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday at French Hospital Medical Center (1911 Johnson Ave, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401)
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (345 S Halcyon Rd, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420)
Health officials say each appointment lasts 45 minutes and can save up to three lives.
