Travelers hoping to fly out of Santa Maria to three new destinations will now have to wait a little longer.
United Airlines announced last year the addition of flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver beginning June 4, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the flights are now scheduled to begin Oct. 1, according to airport officials.
Like many airports, the Santa Maria Airport has seen a decline in flights and passengers as the pandemic continues to impact air travel.
