Voters in Oceano were asked to cast ballots Tuesday on Measure A.
With the polls closed on election night, results show voters favoring the measure with a 63.3% to 36.7% vote. The measure requires a 2/3 vote to pass.
Measure A would tax property owners an additional $15 per month in order to pay for continued service from the Five Cities Fire Authority.
The Oceano Community Services District expects the tax would raise approximately $422,000 per year.
