With the polls closed on election night, results are showing Sen. Bernie Sanders leading among Democrats in the California Presidential Primary Election.
Results as of 12:20 a.m. Wednesday show Sanders with 31% of the vote, making him the projected winner. This is a big win as California had 415 delegates in play.
Former Vice President Joe Biden followed with 21.5% of the vote. Michael Bloomberg had 16.4%.
To win outright, a candidate would need 1,991 delegates. About a third of that was up for grabs on Super Tuesday.
