Monday, June 3 will mark the beginning of “High Fire Season” in Santa Barbara County.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, that means all burn permits for residential burning and hazard reduction will be suspended, and the fire department will increase the number of resources that respond to vegetation fires.
Firefighters encourage all residents to be prepared for a wildfire by creating a “Ready! Set! Go!” wildfire action plan.
