Women with businesses were celebrated in San Luis Obispo on Saturday.
Hosted by Canyon Hills SLO, a church, the event was all about women with families and kids who also have a side business to pick up extra money.
Vanessa Shepard, coordinator of the event, says it is a way to promote women who are doing something for their families.
“I want women who are dreaming of something, if they have an idea for a small business in mind and the want to see that idea for a small business in mind and the want to see if get off the ground I want this to be a place that grows into, a place where they can start and get the word out on what they’re doing,” Shepard said.
Profits from the event go directly to the women.
