Paso Robles is giving people tips on how to prevent a fire ahead of National Fire Prevention Week.
The Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association to sponsor fire week which is from Oct. 7 to Oct. 13.
This years fire week campaign is “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere.”
The goal of this campaign is to educate people about simple essential ways to safely escape a home fire.
The campaign highlights three steps to get people out of their home quickly.
1. Look for places fires could start.
2. Listen for the sound of the smoke alarm.
3. Learn two ways out of every room.
