The Alzheimer’s Associations invites San Luis Obispo County locals to walk in support of the walk to end Alzheimer’s next weekend.
The walk to end Alzheimers will take place this Saturday, Oct. 27 at Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo.
The event aims to teach participants about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with this critical cause, from advocacy opportunities and clinical studies enrollment to support programs and services.
Organizers say the Alzheimer’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Organizers hope to raise $155,000 in this years walk.
In addition to the 3k walk, participants will enjoy a raffle and a special tribute to those who have experienced or are experiencing Alzheimer’s.
