It’s the weekend before Halloween and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says it’s officers are prepared for anything.
Isla Vista is notorious for some of the largest and rowdiest Halloween parties. In previous years, thousands of people have flocked to the region and more than 200 people have been arrested in one weekend.
So far this weekend, officials say it’s been quiet for a change. As of Saturday afternoon, there have been no arrests, 14 citations, and one person was transported to the hospital due to alcohol intoxication.
