The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has eradicated another marijuana grow that it says was operating illegally.
The farm, located in the 2700 block of Telephone Rd. in Santa Maria, included approximately 400,000 marijuana plants, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators say the person responsible for the grow had no valid state cannabis license and was believed to have provided false information to county officials in an attempt to obtain a temporary license.
Authorities served a search warrant at the property on Monday, Oct. 29.
Sheriff’s officials say this is the largest number of plants they’ve seized to date and it took two days to eradicate them.
