The Employee Permit Pilot Program for parking in downtown Paso Robles received hundreds of interested applicants.
Around 150 employees of downtown businesses signed up to participate in the temporary six-month program beginning Dec. 1.
City officials say another 100 people are currently on a waiting list.
The program is designed to free-up customer parking downtown by moving employee parking to nearby public lots.
