The Santa Maria Police Department has released the name of the suspect involved in a Tuesday night chase with law enforcement that ended in an arson fire.

Officers said Wednesday that Evan Davis, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene of an arson fire at 610 Sunset Drive in Santa Maria. Davis was reportedly from Santa Maria. A woman was also found on scene and taken to the hospital, though her name and condition are not known to police officers.
