A rain advisory was issued Thursday for all San Luis Obispo County beaches due to this week’s storm.
During a rain advisory, people, including surfers, are advised to avoid contact with ocean water during and 72 hours after heavy rain as the water could be contaminated from runoff and cause skin, respiratory or intestinal problems for people.
The latest storm is expected to last through Thursday evening.
