A 16-year-old San Luis Obispo animal rights activist ran onto a football field holding a #RightToRescue banner during an NCAA National Championship game on Monday.

Zoe Rosenberg ran into the field at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara during the first quarter of the Alabama versus Clemson football game.

She is an activist with the animal rights network Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) which has accused Levi Stadium’s chicken supplier, Petaluma Poultry, of criminal animal cruelty.

Rosenberg ran out to the field and made it to the 50-yard line of the stadium with the banner before a security guard grabbed her and started to move her off the field. Moments later she fell on the floor, and it eventually took four people to carry her out of the field.

She was released from police custody on Tuesday.

Rosenberg has also been pushing to shut down Cal Poly’s meat processing center.
