The Santa Maria Police Department said they arrested 10 people at a DUI checkpoint Saturday night on 100 S. Broadway between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m.
In total, the police department screened 386 cars.
The arrests included:
- 2 — DUI-alcohol suspect arrests
- 2 — arrested on other criminal charges
- 6 — driver cites/ arrested for driving a car unlicensed or with a suspended or revoked license
The police department also gave out 10 citations.
SMPD will be doing another DUI checkpoint on Feb. 22.
