Solvang Mayor Ryan Toussaint presented his first “State of the City” address on Tuesday.
Toussaint was elected to the office last fall.
The State of the City is a chance for the mayor to present a look at the past year, upcoming projects, and the city’s financial outlook.
“Get the word out with regard to what’s kinda gone on in the past, what some of the city goals were and then also the challenges that we’ll be facing with the city council,” Toussaint explained.
In his speech to the Chamber of Commerce, Toussaint said the city’s number one priority is the search for a new city manager. The previous city manager retired in December.
Toussaint also recognized some new city employees and businesses that have recently moved into the city.
