The Kappa Sigma fraternity at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo has been suspended.

According to the university, it’s accused of violations related to alcohol and hazing, plus violation of health and safety, violation of university policy, and violation of law.

University officials say the fraternity held events during its pledging process at which minors had access to alcohol. They say the hazing involved quizzing pledges on fraternity history and requiring push-ups as punishment for incorrect answers.

The suspension will remain in place until June 15, 2019. The fraternity will then be on social probation through the spring of 2020.

Earlier this year, Sigma Pi was suspended over hazing violations. Currently, the Sigma Nu fraternity is on temporary social probation while it’s under investigation for alleged alcohol and party registration violations.
