A Santa Barbara police motorcycle officer was hit by a car while on patrol Wednesday morning.
It happened at about 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of Las Positas and Alegria Road.
Police say prior to the crash, the officer had been conducting traffic enforcement in the area.
He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was said to be in good spirits.
The driver and passenger in the other car were not injured and were cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
Las Positas was closed to traffic in the area while police investigated the crash.
