The ninth annual Sea Glass Festival kicked off Saturday in Cayucos.
The festival is a fundraiser for the Cayucos Chamber of Commerce 4th of July fireworks show.
Visitors from across the country attend the festival to shop for unique sea glass art that they can collect.
The event directors says part of what makes this event unique is the types of people who come.
“They’re interested in everything and all of sea glass,” Katie Sturtevant said. “The different kinds of sea glass, they’re looking for the rare colors that you can find, I just think people are really passionate about collecting sea glass.”
Anyway who stops by can shop from one of the 32 vendors.
The event continues Sunday until 4 p.m.
