A magnitude 2.6 earthquake was registered near Avila Beach on Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It happened at 3:35 p.m., approximately two miles northwest of the beach town.
Just a few people reported feeling light or weak shaking to the USGS website.
