After a heavy rain season, Atascadero residents can drop off their extra green waste for free Friday.
The City of Atascadero and Waste Management are hosting a residential green waste drop-off event.
Acceptable waste includes grass clippings and leaves, houseplants, tree branches, weeds, twigs and roots from pruning.
Tree trunks need to be cut into pieces.
The drop-off is only for residents only, not businesses.
The event takes place April 5 at the Atascadero City Yard, 8005 Gabarda Rd., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
