People visiting Arroyo Grande will have a new place to stay, the Agrarian Hotel is expected to open in June 2019.

It will be a boutique hotel located on East Branch St. with 54 rooms, suites, a hot tub and heated pool area.

The hotel’s general manager Fred Reed said Arroyo Grande is a great location to open a hotel.

“Arroyo Grande is just a gem of an area, so I know there’s a lot of value offered,” Reed said.

He also said the new hotel should be good for business.

“We’re going to have 100 plus people in our hotel every night that are looking to go to a restaurant or a bar or to shop in an antique shop,” Reed said. “They’re going to be here every day, seven days a week, so it should be just an added amount of community.”

Hotel officials said community members don’t have to worry about parking because the hotel will add extra parking and the design of the hotel will match the aesthetic of the town.

“I think the city did a good job of making sure instead of just bringing in a 300 room Marriott or something like that, that they brought in something that could add to the city or add to the community and let some other people enjoy downtown Arroyo Grande also,” Reed said.

The Agrarian Hotel will be the first LEED certified hotel in Arroyo Grande, which means it is sustainable.

Anyone interested in staying at the hotel can book a room here.
