One person was taken to the hospital with major injuries Saturday after crashing into a tree near Los Altos Road, according to Atascadero Fire.
The fire department said the crash was on Highway 41 near Los Altos Road west of Atascadero.
According to the fire department, fire crews used hydraulic cutters to remove the roof of the car in order to get the person out.
The fire department said the person was taken to the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
No word on the person’s current condition.
