A philanthropic $1,112 donation to the Woods Humane Society will help the non-profit organization with their mission to protect and shelter homeless companion animals in the San Luis Obispo County.

In Spring 2019, Wighton’s Inc. hosted their “Stuff-a-Pup” Fundraiser helping animals in need by encouraging attendees to stop by the booth and stuff their own pup. The two-day event generated a total of $680 that was then donated to the Woods Humane Society.

A second “Stuff-a-Pup” fundraiser by Wighton’s was held in May 2019 resulting in an additional $432 for the Woods Humane Society.

“We take pride in knowing these fundraising efforts will go towards finding loving homes for countless pets,” says Ric Schorer, General Manager of Wighton’s Heating and Air Conditioning. “The Woods Humane Society is dedicated to going the extra mile for animals in need, and we’re dedicated to supporting them in accomplishing that!”

The donation will fund Wood’s Spay & Neuter Services, Humane Education Programs for Kids, Dog Training Classes, Microchipping and the Caring Companions Program.

Each year, Woods cares for over 3,000 cats and dogs at their facilities in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero, until they are united with a new family.
