Locals can make a difference on hunger in San Luis Obispo County by donating for Hunger Awareness Day.
The SLO County Food Bank and Pacific Premier Bank are teaming up to take on any donations to help alleviate hunger for struggling residents. Donations can make a tangible difference for local services.
They will even match donations of up to $50,000.
Charitable donors who sign up for a recurring monthly donation tomorrow will have their donation doubled for the rest of the year.
According to SLO Food Bank, 1 in 6 people in the county are food insecure. 40 percent are children and 20 percent are seniors.
