THC fair in SLO offers information on budding cannabis and hemp industry

Posted

Industry pros and customers of the cannabis and hemp industry converged Saturday at the Madonna Inn to talk shop.

The THC Fair brings together local and national brands as a one-stop shop for customers old and new who want to learn more about cannabis and hemp.

The organization hosts fairs across the country with the goal of “further normalizing cannabis and raise awareness for industrial hemp globally by focusing on education and celebration at a local level,” according to its website.

The fair features a series of lectures that offer insights from various industry experts.

One fair-goer said she turned to cannabis when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthiritis.

“It was sad, it was a lot of like, can’t go out and live my life,” Jey Villanueva said. “Cannabis, when I was introduced to it. it like helped me get up and go and be able to like stop the pain in a way and just kind of like get out and function and get my life back.”

The THC fair continues into Sunday with a $5 discount for veterans.
