California Attorney General Xavier Becerra hosted a press conference Wednesday in Santa Barbara to discuss carbon pollution and tackling climate change.

Attorney generals from Oregon and Iowa also joined the conference. They focused on carbon emissions as a detriment to the environment and human health.

They called for the Trump administration to reduce pollution and make change, announcing their intention to fight the repeal of the Clean Power Plan.

“We are here because the administration has once again decided to backslide on an initiative to help America get cleaner and be healthier and for California, that is a non-starter. We cannot afford to go back to the old polluting ways,” Becerra said.

The attorney generals also spoke about water issues, opioids, the tech industry, and new regulations coming out of the Trump administration.
