Local comedians are competing to open up for America’s Got Talent finalist Vicki Barbolak.
Barbolak was a top ten finalist on season 13 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent.
Friday night was the first of the two-part competition being held at Bang the Drum in San Luis Obispo.
Barbolak showed up to cheer on the contestants and even provide a little advice, “You just try to be as real as possible, because only you can be you and that is all that matters in stand up.”
The local comedian who wins the competition will open for Vicki Barbolak at her show at the Fremont theater on July 13.
