This prescribed burn was one of five planned by CAL FIRE over the next two to three weeks.
During the week of June 24, approximately 26 acres of light fuels will be burned to maintain an area off of 7 Oaks Road.
On Tuesday, July 2, approximately 326 acres of grass fuel will be burned at the SLO Sportman’s Park off of Gilardi Road to provide live training and reducing the chance of fire risk in the recreational area.
If the weather does not permit for any of the prescribed burns, they will be rescheduled to a later date.
