(UPDATE: 4:45 p.m.) – Ventura County Firefighters say forward progress has been stopped. Crews will remain on scene overnight putting out hot spots.

Ventura County firefighters are battling a vegetation fire in Fillmore.
The fire broke out at around 11:30 a.m. Friday on South Mountain Road west of Fillmore.
According to the Ventura County Fire Departments twitter, some structures were threatened when the fire first broke out.
After just one hour, the fire grew to 100 acres, however, firefighters were able to minimalize the structure threat.
latest updates show the fire has reached 120 acres, with no structures threatened.
