CORCORAN, Calif. (AP) - A second inmate in two days has been killed at the same Central Valley prison.

California corrections officials said Friday that the two slayings are believed to be unrelated.

Anthony Roberson-Anderson was found Tuesday with swelling and multiple lacerations to his face and head at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran. He died late Thursday.

Officials say there is no known connection to the slaying Wednesday at the same prison of Danny Roman, a purported leader of the Mexican Mafia.

The federal government once accused Roman of running street gang operations from inside Pelican Bay State Prison.
