4 injured, 2 airlifted after car crashes and falls 50 feet over E.Camino Cielo

Four people were injured following a car crash 50 feet off E. Camino Cielo near Gibraltar Rd., officials say.

Emergency crews responded to the crash shortly after 12 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say they found a Mazda sedan 50 feet off the road on its side.

All the occupants had to be extricated from the vehicle.

According to CHP, 2 men suffered major injuries and were transported to the hospital via Calstar7 and Santa Barbara County Copter 3.

One man suffered moderate injuries, a fourth man endured minor injuries. Both were transported via ambulance.

All four men are being treated at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Santa Barbara County Fire, Santa Barbara City Fire, Montecito Fire, The Los Padres National Forest Fire Department, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Search and Rescue and American Medical Response all responded to the crash.

CHP is investigating the crash at this time.
