The popular Halloween in the Village will continue for another year in Arroyo Grande.
The city council voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a temporary use permit authorizing the event on Thursday, October 31.
The children's trick-or-treat event was in danger of being called off this year because of the lack of an event sponsor, but several Village merchants banded together and submitted a sponsorship application to the city.
In approving the event, the city council also directed staff to implement safety measures including no parking zones, street closures, and warning devices.
