Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria just installed some new electric vehicle charging stations.
The four charging stations can charge up to eight vehicles at a time.
They're located in Parking Lot 1 near the corner of Bradley Rd. and Sierra Madre Ave.
Hancock says you don't have to be a student or staff member to use the charging stations, and as long as your car is actively charging, you won't need a parking pass.
The cost to purchase and install the stations was partially funded with a $40,000 grant from the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District, according to college officials.
The charging stations utilize cloud-based technology and are operated by ChargePoint.
