The Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero held its annual "Holiday Magic Event" Saturday.
Children could watch as animals like spider monkeys, anteaters, tigers and others opened gifts.
This year, a magician also entertained visitors for the first time at the event.
Zoo visitor Raelyn Wiggins says she enjoyed seeing the red pandas the most.
"They're in high and low places and it's fun to feed them in high places and easy to feed them in low places," Wiggins said.
More than 300 animals call the Charles Paddock Zoo home.
The zoo is open every day from 10 a.m. to four p.m.
