Allan Hancock College hosted their annual Angel Tree gift giveaway Monday.
Gifts were given out to 224 children of Hancock's EOPS/CARE/NextUp and CalWORKs students, and also the children of Hancock Veterans, Dreamers, LAP, Non-credit, and formally incarcerated students.
Administrators, staff, and faculty were able to virtually select angel tree tags, as well as donate money on their website.
"I'm so grateful that we're able to still make this happen," said Vannesa Dominguez, organizing director. "This is typically a festive event with christmas carols and cookies and crafts for the children and so we were not sure if we'd be able to pull it off, but as you can see there's still a need there's still families coming so I'm very grateful to be here and very excited that we can spread the wealth."
There is another event being hosted on Tuesday at the Lompoc Valley Center Campus from 3 - 5 p.m.
