ORIGINAL STORY: Santa Maria police are investigating reports of an armed robbery in Santa Maria Friday morning.
Police say the call came in at 9:41 a.m.
As of 10:39 a.m., police were in the parking lot of KFC on the 2200 block of S. Broadway.
Officers were looking over a truck and one person could be seen in the back of a police car, but it was unclear what, if any, connection they had to the reported robbery.
Few details were immediately available as officers were still on scene and said it was early in the investigation.
