Today Central Coast Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham unveiled three news bill to fight human trafficking.
He presented the bills at Cal Poly's Human Trafficking Awareness Summit.
One of the bills would require the state to post an online listing of attorneys who provide free legal services to trafficking victims. Another would teach human trafficking awareness to professional truckers--that way they can spot the warning signs.
The last bill presented would allow dating apps to alert users if someone has been reported for trafficking.
All of the bills will be heard at an assembly meeting in the Spring.
