Bank of the Sierra is hosting a food drive throughout Central and Southern California this month to help those affected by COVID-19.

The Bank is accepting donations of canned and nonperishable items at any of its 40 branches through July 31.

Donations will be sent to local food banks and other nonprofit organizations. Food collected in San Luis Obispo County will be donated to El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) in Atascadero.

In addition to the food drive, Bank of the Sierra shifted the focus of its Sierra Grant Program to provide funding to nonprofits that have been impacted by the pandemic.

More than $2.2 million has been donated through the Sierra Grant Program since 2004 to organizations that help improve local communities. Nonprofits looking to apply for a Sierra Grant can pick up an instructional brochure at any Bank of the Sierra branch or visit the Bank's website.
