BevMo! Inc. has been ordered to pay up for over-charging its customers.

The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office, along with the district attorneys of Riverside, San Diego, and Santa Clara counties, prosecuted the company in civil court.

The DA's Office says weights and measures investigations in 11 California counties found scanner overcharges at BevMo! stores, along with mispriced items on store shelves and failure to charge the advertised price at the time of checkout.

BevMo! reportedly paid $359,043 to resolve the case.

The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office will receive $70,700 in civil penalties and the Santa Barbara County Weights & Measures Department will receive $3,360 to cover costs.

BevMo! will also provide refunds totaling $17,991 to impacted customers through its customer loyalty program.
