A candlelight vigil in honor of Black Lives Matter was held at Mitchell Park in San Luis Obisp on Thursday night.
People sat at the park and placed their candles at the gazebo in memory of both black, brown and queer lives lost.
"I came out just in support [...] [to] remember those lives lost during this time," said Ilu Tefera, who attended the event.
The event was peaceful and many community members came out in support.
