CAL FIRE SLO responding to cliff rescue at Estero Bluffs

UPDATE (10:30 p.m.): CAL FIRE officials say the patient, identified as a 16-year-old male, has been hoisted up to the road and will be transported to the hospital for a broken leg.
ORIGINAL STORY: CAL FIRE San Luis Obispo is currently responding to a cliff rescue at the Estero Bluffs, north of Cayucos.

Officials say a person has fallen about 20 feet and possibly has a broken leg.

As of 8:30 p.m., CAL FIRE officials say a rope rescue system is being set up to hoist the person back up and assess injuries.
